It’s simple. We want to change the way the world thinks about cider. We are a small group of individuals whose mission is to push the boundaries of fermentations through scientific method, innovative flavors, and quality ingredients, while inspiring our community and curiosity one sip at a time.



The Scientist


Meredith O'Neil DeLeeuw graduated from Texas A&M University (whoop!), with a B.S. in Food Science.  She has a true passion for product development and innovation.  You can always find her experimenting on the next test batch of cider or reading one of her many cider books.  She looks forward to the day that she can move her lab equipment into the cidery and reclaim her kitchen.  She brings a strong background in food chemistry, food microbiology, product development and implementation, and food analysis to the team.  In addition to her food science background, she has spent the last few years learning everything she can about cider.  She spent a week with Audrey O'Neil in Portland, Oregon at the Oregon State Craft Cidery Startup Workshop.  There she learned the ins and outs of starting a craft cidery from some of the best in the industry.  She is very active in Memphis as a frequent volunteer for many different non-profits, as well as being on the programs committee for Volunteer Odyssey.  Outside of cider, she is a self-proclaimed foodie, Weimaraner mom, crazy football fan, outdoor lover, and an active hunter/jumper equestrian.  



The Engineer


Audrey M. O'Neil is a degreed Chemical Engineer and a Professional Petroleum Engineer in the State of Texas with over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She has a diverse background that includes process engineering, independent technical/economic review, project engineering, alliance building, valuation, pipeline integrity and acquisition due diligence experience in the gas processing, pipeline and energy industries.  Extensive experience in financial and technical due diligence, contract reviews, economic evaluations, legal document reviews, process safety management, and project management duties.  She has successfully started an Engineering Firm operating autonomously in all facets of business, i.e., strategic planning, operations and marketing; proficient in customer relations, brand positioning, revenue growth, financial management, driving operational excellence, business development, price negotiations for the third-party Engineering Firm.  She has a strong focus on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and follow up; established a culture of open communication, collaboration, and accountability resulting in top tier business performance.  She is Century Tree Cider’s go to person on anything and everything business.  She has always supported her daughter’s wild and crazy dreams and is very excited to help bring Century Tree Cider to life. 



The Doctor


Peter M. DeLeeuw is a physician in Memphis, TN and is completing his medicine residency through the UT Health system.  He also graduated from the best college in the nation, Texas A&M University (whoop!).  He spends most days at one of the many local hospitals treating the people of Memphis.  He loves making genuine connections with his patients and community.  He has always been a big dreamer and loves to brainstorm on new ideas for the company.  He wants the people of Memphis to be able to experience a local and all-natural beverage that rewards the adventurous spirit.  You can find him foraging for local pawpaw fruit or behind the lens of his many gadgets.  He also is a U.S. history buff and loves to teach others about the origins and traditions of American cider.  Outside of cider, he is an accomplished fencer, budding photographer, avid sports fan, Weimaraner dad, and music lover.
